Michele Bernadette (Zamiar) Flynn, known to all who loved her as "Mikki," passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Mikki was born on March 14, 1961, on a U.S. Air Force base in Wiesbaden, Germany. Her family eventually settled in the Sacramento area of California. It was there that she married her first husband, Roger Baughman, and welcomed their beautiful daughter, Nichole. During this time, Mikki attended De Anza College, where she majored in mathematics.

While living in Livermore, California, Mikki met Kevin Flynn, and they were married in 1993. They later relocated with Nichole to St. Petersburg, Florida, where their beloved son, James, was born in 1995. After several years in Florida, the family settled in New Hampshire, living in both Nashua and Bedford.

After the loss of her husband, Kevin, Mikki fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a farmhouse, purchasing one in Farmington in 2017. A few years later, she began working as a prep cook at Ackerly's Grill & Galley Restaurant in Alton, where she became a valued member of both the restaurant family and the local community.

Mikki loved to cook and was especially known for her incredible focaccia bread, biscotti, and many other favorite recipes. Every Christmas, she delighted family and friends by gifting bottles of olive oil that she infused herself, a labor of love that became a cherished holiday tradition. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, solving Sudoku puzzles, and repurposing treasures she found. She was a wonderful conversationalist who loved discussing current events and politics with family and friends, and she enjoyed listening to podcasts every day.

More than anything, Mikki will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother whose generous heart, wonderful cooking, lively conversations, and warm spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Mikki is survived by her daughter, Nichole (Baughman) O'Connell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her son, James Robert Flynn of Hutto, Texas; her brothers, Tony and Terry; her step-sisters, Colleen and Jennifer; many nieces and nephews; and, of course, her dear friends and colleagues at Ackerly's Restaurant.

A celebration of Mikki's life will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ackerly's Grill & Galley Restaurant, 83 Main Street in Alton, NH 03809.
