Michael Paul Vaughn, also lovingly known to some as Shawn, 72, of Farmington, NH, passed away on November 23, 2023 at Portsmouth Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.

Michael was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Stanley Vaughn and Janet Y. Vaughn on November 16, 1951.

Michael had numerous jobs over the years beginning as a rig operator on oil platforms in the waters off his native Louisiana. He held many construction jobs leading crews in Louisiana, Florida, and New England. He co-owned a bar on Canal Street in New Orleans for a few years and, more recently, he worked as a granite and marble fabricator and shop manager at Coastal Marble and Granite in New Hampshire for seven years. His favorite job, however, was that of a stay-at-home dad.

Michael was married to the love of his life, Beth, and together they had two adoring daughters, Crystal and Shannen. His family was his greatest accomplishment in life. He enjoyed creating special memories with his daughters including making gifts for them in his woodworking shop, taking camping trips, and hosting great summer barbeques for family and friends. He will be remembered for his comforting embraces, kind heart, and his ability to fix anything his daughters needed him to. He loved spending time with his six grandchildren who were his ultimate pride and joy.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Darryl and Stanley, and his beloved mother-in-law, Rebecca Howard. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beth (Howard), and his two children, Crystal (Brian) Bailey, and Shannen (Shaun) Lynch. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren: Tennly, Emmy, and Lydia Bailey and Parker, Payten, and Paxten Lynch.

Michael will be celebrated by his family in a private ceremony.
