Michael P. Tarmey

August 5, 1951 – October 15, 2026

Michael P. Tarmey, born and raised in Farmington, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, following a brief stay at Riverside Rest Home in Dover, New Hampshire. Born to Philip and Helen Tarmey, he graduated from Farmington High School in 1969 and spent most of his working life as a heavy equipment operator.

Michael was fun-loving, full of life, and often the life of the party. With a flair for the dramatic, a mischievous sense of humor, beautiful blue eyes, and a knack for getting under your skin, he knew how to leave an impression. His jokes were often at someone else’s expense, but his love for his family ran deep. A devoted New England sports fan, he loved his Patriots and Red Sox.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Phil; his brothers, Joe and Mark; and his beloved granddaughter, Evangelique “Eve” Tarmey.

He leaves behind his wife, Donna Tarmey; his children, Tammy, Troy, Jennifer, Tara, and Chip; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; his lifelong best friend, Dale Ryder of Rochester, New Hampshire; and his sister, Donna Gillespie.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date, bringing family and friends together to share photos, memories, love, laughter, and perhaps a cocktail in his honor. Details will be announced later.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to Riverside Rest Home in Dover, New Hampshire.

He will be remembered for his humor, larger-than-life personality, and the memories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
