Obituary

Wakefield, NH/ Bonney Lake, WA

Michael John Millett of Wakefield, NH – formerly of Bonney Lake, WA - passed quietly from this life to Eternal Life Friday, November 20, 2020 at his sister's home in Wakefield, after living with advanced cancer for a long period.

Born in Bangor, Maine May 25th, 1959, the son of John C Millett and Marjorie E (Mahoney) Millett, Michael moved to Washington state from New Hampshire in 2004. For 15 years, Michael worked for Mitco Global in Auburn, WA as an equipment operator for the warehousing organization, where he worked until his move to Wakefield in October 2020. Prior to relocating from New Hampshire to Washington, he held a variety of positions from manufacturing to home care specialist. Michael attended Dover public schools and in 1975, at age 17, he joined the US Air Force and was subsequently honorably discharged.

Michael was a warrior for God for most of his adult life, and shared the Good News from coast to coast and beyond. In one neighborhood where he lived for several years in Dover, he was known by his neighbors as "The Preacher." He cherished a family Bible given to him by his grandmother, "Ninnie".

Michael enjoyed reading books of all kinds but especially spiritual – he read the Bible cover to cover many times. He liked to fish and found that to be a calming, peaceful activity, and sometimes exciting, especially when catching King Salmon in Washington. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, finding solace in writing songs and glorifying God through music.
Michael is survived by his Father, John C. Millett of Bangor, Maine; his son, Jason, of Albuquerque, NM; his sister, Katrina Price and her husband Roger of Wheatland, Wyoming; his sister Michelle McKone and her husband Steven of Wakefield, NH; his beloved ex-wife Bea Chasse of Barrington, NH; his treasured cat, Sarah; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was predeceased by his loving and loyal mother, Marjorie E (Mahoney) Millett.

Michael will be remembered at a private gathering where he will be buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Clifton, Maine.
