Michael F. Cormier, age 57, of Maple Street, Portland, Maine, passed away November 26, 2022 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Born December 12, 1964, in Hartford, Connecticut, son of Toussaint J. and Deborah J. (Allen) Cormier, he was raised in South Windsor, CT, a graduate of South Windsor High School.  He resided in Portland, Maine for two years, having previously resided in Westbrook, Maine and North Carolina.

Michael spent time living in North Carolina, working at Camp Pinnacle, where he became close with Rev. Richard Merritt of North Cove Baptist Church.  Michael cherished Richard's guidance, love and friendship.

He loved to read the Bible and attending Bible sessions.

Survived by his parents: Touissant "Joe" & Debbie Cormier, his sister Michelle & husband Paul Couture, nieces & nephews:  Griffin & Gabryele Couture, Kailee & Amber Sheppard, also several aunts, uncles and cousins here in the USA and Canada. Predeceased by his half sister Vicki Sheppard.
