Melinda Lillian Dixon Haney "Mindy"
Our daughter, sister, mother, wife grandmother and great-grandmother Mindy Dixon, left our world on May 6, 2024 in Dover, NH.

Mindy was born in Annapolis, MD the 4th child of Wilbur and Jeannette Dixon. She lived her early childhood in Shore Acres, MD until her family moved to NH ultimately ending up in Middleton. Mindy attended Farmington High graduating in 1981 and still held those friendships close.
Mindy was a force to be reckoned with her whole life - every underdog, victim, person in need, or animal she came across became her friend for life. Her loyalty to family and friends was her everything.  Mindy continued her caring nature forward throughout her life. Whether it was working with the elderly as a CNA, fighting against a wrong or fighting for the good for others, Mindy was front and center leading the charge. From the plight of the uninsured, services for those with opioid addiction, fostering children in need and babysitting hundreds of kids whose families had no one else to turn to, Mindy was always available to everyone.

Mindy left behind a large loving family that included her husband Don Dodier - her "Dadu", the love of her life. Her Momma Jeannette Haney (Grampa Dave), 5 siblings, brothers Mark (Tina) and Kelly (Darlene) and sisters Kim (Richard), Michelle (Dave) and Lisa (Maury).  Step brother David (Karen) and step sister Cheri. Her sons Jason Langlais (Michelle) and Gage Dodier (Nyna) and her stepson Normand Langlais Jr (Lisa and Talin).  Mindy spent much of her recent life loving her grandchildren: Marshall, Cassie, Grady, Kiersten, Bear and Brexy and great granddaughter Azaria. If you wanted to put a smile on her face- just put a child in her lap!

Mindy was predeceased by her daughter Tanya Jeannette (11/26/1989), her father Wilbur Dixon, her husband Don Haney Jr, her nephew Derrick, her special uncles Dave Ouellette and Ronald Holmes and her very best friend, mentor and doctor Terry Bennett. Along with many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made St Jude's Children's Hospital in her memory.
