Melanie C. Villemont of Farmington, NH passed away unexpectedly on October 19 th , 2021. She was born in Hoboken, NJ to Russel and Ann a Cole on July 10 th , 1949. She married Armand Villemont on June 24 th , 1972, in New York City at Columbia University's St. Paul Chapel. Melanie completed her undergraduate studies at Barnard College then obtained her master's degree from Columbia University in 1972. Melanie was a beautiful person, wife, mother, grandmother, and community leader, including a professed member of the Secular Franciscan Order and a beloved member of the parish of St. Peter and St. Mary Church. She loved nothing more than to pass her time reading a book. She was an amazing cook, and her holiday cookies were always a family favorite. Melanie always exhibited a quiet and resilient strength throughout her life.

Melanie is preceded in death by her parents, Russel and Anna Cole. She is survived by her loving husband, Armand, four children, Carl, Renee, Louise, Magdalena, and five grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Olivia, Mathilde, and Chase.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jud e Children 's Research Hospital, Melanie cherished helping others and this would be an ode to her memory.

Melanie's family wish to extend our sincere thanks to the medical teams at Frisbee Memorial and Portsmouth Regional Hospitals for their efforts in Melanie's care, and their compassion during a time of loss.
