Maurice W. Tufts, age 85, of Dick Dame Lane in Farmington, died September 25, 2014 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born May 23, 1929 in Milton, the son of Moses D. Tufts and Evelyn R. (Nutter) Tufts Burroughs.
He worked various jobs and was employed by William Vickers & Son for 42 years. Upon retiring, he worked at Robert Torno & Sons for 15 years.
Widower of the late Hazel I. (Woods) Tufts, he is survived by 3 stepchildren: Frank Willard of Farmington, Allan Morgan and wife June of Milton and Michael Morgan of Indiana, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, also a sister Patricia Page of Milton.
He will be sorely missed by his daughter in law, his family and his two dogs: Sparky and Bandit.
Family and friends are welcome to a graveside service on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Cornerstone VNA, 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home.
