Martha (Segee) Henderson, age 77, of Summer Street in Farmington, died peacefully at home on February 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 12, 1939 and raised in Dover, NH, she was the daughter of John F. Segee, Sr. and Velma E. (Hall) Segee. She previously resided in Virginia and lived in Farmington since 1980.

Martha was a caregiver all of her life, starting at a very early age. She also opened her own assisted living home, where her experience and kindness was highly recognized and commended.

Mom was the biggest inspiration to her children. She was a strong willed lady, who always had the best advice, only a phone call away.

Her favorite place was Wells Beach, Maine, where she spent many summers as a child.

Widow of the late Joseph R. Henderson, Sr., she is survived by their 8 children: Joseph R. Henderson, Jr. and wife Kathy, Gregory S. Henderson and wife Shelly, children: Amber, Greg, Tonia and Sean, Debra Gray, children: Gina, Erin and Ryan, Gaile Millard and husband Clint Ebare, children: Marsha, Chris and Brandon, Brenda Temple, children: Karen, Kevin and Kristen, Coleen Henderson, boys: Robert and Eric, Rhonda Smith and husband Boo (Alfred): children: Kayla and BJ, Lee- Ann Henderson, sons: Dante Carone and Brayden Ebare, several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, also her best friend, sister in law: Gladys Kilcullen.

As per her wishes, there are no services planned, her family will spread her ashes at the places that made her most happy. Cremation care by Peaslee Funeral Home.
