Obituary

Marjorie Barnes Barron, 89, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023. Born on September 14, 1933, in Norwood, MA, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Hazel (Wilbur) Barnes.

Marjorie met the love of her life, Elmer Walter Barron Jr., in 1949, and they were married on October 8, 1950. She and Elmer relocated from Norfolk, MA. to their family farm in NH in 1964. A loving mother and homemaker, she dedicated herself to her family and numerous community organizations, including the Farmer's Market. Marjorie was a gifted seamstress and quiltmaker, rug braider, and artist. She enjoyed arts and crafts of all forms as well as gardening, reading, music, and substitute teaching. She loved visiting with family and friends and welcomed all into their home.

She is survived by her sons Elmer W. "Butch" Barron III and wife, Mary, Paul D. Barron and wife, Janet, John S. Barron, Roy A. Barron and wife, Karen; daughter Heidi L. Paris and husband Rene; adopted sons Dale Beard Jr. and wife, Lula, Stephen Dockham and wife Pamela; sister in law Marilyn Barnes; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband, Elmer W. Barron Jr.; sister Hazel Bailey and husband, Norman; and brother John H. Barnes Jr.

A private family graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may be offered to the Veteran's Hospital of your choice or local food pantry.
