Marjorie Theresa Barnes, age 83, of East Wakefield, NH, died suddenly, January 4, 2016, of natural cause.
Born June 11, 1932 in Arlington, MA, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Moynihan) Struthers, she resided there for most of her life, lived for a time in Lawrence, MA and resided in East Wakefield, NH since 1991.
A loving homemaker and mother, she enjoyed playing the piano for her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and her poetry was published in the Carroll County Independent. Marjorie served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony's Church in Sanbornville, NH.
Survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years: Robert E. Barnes and their 6 children: Theresa and husband Richard Carson, Robert E. Barnes, Jr., Dennis G. Barnes, Sr., Lawrence F. and wife Kathleen Barnes, David A. and wife Ann Barnes, Kathleen Medugno, 12 grandchildren: Leah, Richard, Charlene, Jennifer, Dennis Jr., Kaitlin, Larry, Megan, John, Allison, Marguerite and Christiaan, also several great grandchildren, twin siblings: Robert and wife Patricia Struthers, Mary Butler and the late Henry Butler, also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 11am-12:30pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in (Sanbornville) Wakefield, NH followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony's Church on Meadow Street in Sanbornville, NH at 1:00pm with Fr. Patrick Gilbert, pastor, as celebrant. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: St. Anthony's Church.
