Marilyn Drew Keating, age 81, of Lovell Lake Road in Sanbornville, died October 12, 2011, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 11, 1930, in Union, the daughter of Harold and Charlotte (Brown) Drew. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1948. She resided in Sanbornville since 1949.
Marilyn was an active member of her community, including Unity Fraternal Chapter #21, O.E.S. in Union, a member and past treasurer, at The Episcopal Church of Saint John the Baptist in Sanbornville.
Her family was the center of her life. She was a wonderful homemaker, a bookkeeper and owner of the Poor People's Pub in Sanbornville.
Widow of the late James F. Keating, she is survived by their three children: James F. Keating, III and wife Rebecca, Jacqueline A. Keating, Joanne K. Lanoix and husband Puma, all of Sanbornville. She was Nana to seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is survived by her four sisters: Audrey Wiggin of Rochester, Connie Wiggin of No. Wakefield, Carolyn and husband Seth Pike of Union, Pat and husband Marshall Fox of Rochester; also many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Family and friends are welcome to a Service of Remembrance and Love, on Monday, October 17, 2011, at 10:00 AM at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist on High Street in Sanbornville with Rev. Suzanne Poulin, Rector, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Lovell Lake Cemetery.
