Marie Elaine (Staples) Palmer, age 53, died February 23, 2013 at Agape Hospice House in Conway, South Carolina, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born June 3, 1959 in Rochester, NH, the daughter of Frank M. and Thelma M. (Beshaw) Staples, she was raised in Farmington and was an honor graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1977. She resided in the Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro area for years and most recently had moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to live close to her daughter.

Marie had been employed as a sales associate at Green Mountain Furniture in Ossipee for 9 years and also had managed the Knotty Pine Restaurant in Ossipee. She had attended St. Katharine Drexel Church in Alton.

She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, she also enjoyed traveling while on vacation.

Survived by her mother Thelma M. Staples of Farmington, her daughter Christina M. Foss of Myrtle Beach, SC, her brother Shayne F. Staples of New Durham, also several aunts, uncles, cousins, 2 nieces, 1 nephew and many friends.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 5-8 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a prayer service at 6:30 pm by Fr. Robert F.
