Margaret E. "Peg" (Maroney) Kayser, age 72, of Alton Bay, died May 14, 2014.
Born March 24, 1942 in Haverhill, MA, the daughter of Francis H. and Margaret C. (Dowling) Maroney, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, a graduate of Emmanuel College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a graduate of Northeastern University with a Masters Degree.
Having summered in Alton Bay, NH for many years, she resided there since 2001, having come from Harvard, MA.
Prior to retirement, Peg was employed as a Systems Analyst with Bolt, Beranek and Newman, and Genuity.
She had volunteered with the Lakes Region Humane Society, the Gilman Library and the Alton Garden Club.
Survived by her brother: James A. and wife Deborah Maroney, 2 sisters: Mary F. Maroney and husband Richard "Bud" Gay and Anne Young. She is also survived by her niece Laura and husband John Finocchiaro and their childen: Kelsey, Ben and Daniel,also several cousins.
Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5 pm at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 19, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road, (Route 28N) Alton, NH with Fr. Robert F. Cole, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue or Lakes Region Humane Society.
