Margaret Louise (Mahoney) Hynes, age 69, of New Durham, NH, died November 1, 2014 at home, after a period of failing health.

Margaret was born in Boston, MA on November 10, 1944, the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Holland) Mahoney of County Cork, Ireland. Raised in Somerville, MA, she graduated from St. Joseph's School for Girls. Married on November 26, 1966 to Kenneth Hynes of Cambridge at St. Catherine's Church in Somerville, MA. Margaret and Kenneth raised their family in Cambridge, MA, before moving to New Durham, NH in 1989. Margaret's joy in life was her family and playing in her garden.

Members of her family include her husband Kenneth, a sister Mary (Mahoney) Desmond of Sparta, NJ, 2 daughters: Kathryn and husband Douglas Perkins of New Durham, NH, Marianne and husband Salvatore Nicastro of Alton, NH, 6 grandchildren: Allison, Sean and Matthew Perkins, Jacquelyn, Arianna and Veronica Nicastro, also many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Patricia (Mahoney) McMillan and a brother James Mahoney.

Family and friends may visit at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Katharine Drexel Church , 40 Hidden Springs Road (Route 28N) in Alton, NH with Fr. Robert F. Cole, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Rochester, NH.
