Obituary
WAKEFIELD — Margaret Leighton of Wakefield passed away Nov. 28.
She was born March 3, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Frances Lloyd and Robert Palmer and the granddaughter of the late Jasper and Bertha Palmer.
She leaves two sons, Gary of Massachusetts and Gregory of Texas; longtime companion Gordon "Flash" Hollis; and two cousins, Donald Palmer of North Carolina and Dee DeMario of Wolfeboro.
She was a lifelong resident of Wakefield. Her dad owned the Palmer Motel, where she worked and her family spent many happy times.
She was well-known in Wakefield driving the school bus. She touched many students in this service.
The family would like to thank the Wolfeboro Bay Care and the Life Choice Hospice for their loving care.
She will be buried in the Palmer Cemetery in the late spring.
