Margaret "Peggy" F. Wilkins
June 6, 1940 – September 23, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret "Peggy" F. Wilkins, 85, of Farmington, NH, who died peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Peggy was born on June 6, 1940, in Rochester, NH, to the late Myron and Louise Tufts. She grew up in Middleton and worked at the local shoe shops and Davidson Rubber (later Textron and Collins and Aikman), where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
She married William "Willie" Wilkins on July 3, 1959, and together they shared 40 years of marriage.
Peggy will be remembered for her patience, kindness, and steady determination. Resilient and hardworking, she faced life's challenges with quiet strength and without complaint. She expressed her love through pride in her family, her thoughtful example, and the simple joys she cherished—gardening, cooking, attending live music sessions, yard sales that felt like treasure hunts, and evenings spent watching crime and cooking shows. Through her life, she taught those around her to work hard, act with integrity, and persevere—not for recognition, but because it was the right thing to do.
Peggy is survived by her three children: Bambi Wilkins, Lu-Ann Goodfield, and Billie Jo Goslin; her five grandchildren: Mandy Jo Wilkins (Tom), Meagan Morrison (Scott), Nicole Wilkins, Travis Goodfield, Zachary Goodfield (Shannon), Garrett Goslin; and two great-grandchildren: Adrianna Feliz and Clover Morrison.
She also leaves behind a brother, Richard Tufts, a sister, Joan Dow, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Willie, and a brother, Franklin Tufts.
As per her request, there will be no services. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Pope-Memorial SPCA.
