Mahlon Whitney Davis, age 85, died March 20, 2016 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH.
Born December 30, 1930 in Alton Bay, NH, son of Charles L. and Alice H. (Whitney) Davis, he was raised in Alton, a graduate of Alton High School. He resided for a short time in Tolend, CT and also resided in Farmington, NH, most recently.
A Veteran of the United States Army, a Corporal, he served during the Korean War.
He was a retired Security Guard from Pratt & Whitney in E. Hartford, CT and also he had worked at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH for many years, in maintenance.
Mahlon enjoyed going up North to Pittsburgh, NH, fishing, camping and gardening vegetables.
Widower of the late Doris A. (Messier) Davis, he is survived by 3 sons: Dale M. Davis, Gary A. Davis, Clayton W. and wife Nancy Davis, 3 daughters: Erla Davis, Doreen Davis, Michelle and husband Mark Bemis, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Janny Fletcher and Paulie Shackway, also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Erla Dalrymple.
Family and friends are welcome to a Graveside Service on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 1pm at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH with military honors by the United States Army. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home.
