Madolyn A. Lawrence, age 84, of Alton, died quietly at home, while sleeping, on December 27, 2020.

Born December 1, 1936 in Rochester, NH, daughter of Victor and Louise (Rollins) Vernal, she was a lifelong resident of Alton, NH.

Prior to retirement, she had worked as a seamstress/stitcher at Wickers, Timberlake and Globe Manufacturing.

A member of the Community Church of Alton, she served as Sunday School Superintendent for years and was a member of the Woman's Fellowship at church.  She was a former Girl Scout Leader.

Madolyn was an avid reader, she loved to walk in nature and enjoyed bird watching.

Widow of the late Roger A. Lawrence, who died in 2018, she is survived by their 2 children: Greg A. and wife Debra Lawrence,  Teresa A. and husband Walter Hewett, 5 grandchildren: Kaela Madolyn Lawrence, Faith and husband Cody Jach, Hannah and husband Lucas Bond, Nathaniel Lawrence and Sarah Lawrence, 3 great grandchildren: Troy Clark, Summer Hewett and Felix Jach, her brother Stanley Vernal, also cousins, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her granddaughter Crystal and brother Ronald Vernal.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Community Church of Alton on Church Street in Alton, NH at 12Noon.  Urn interment will be in the spring at Old Riverside Cemetery in Alton.  If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Woman's Fellowship at the Community Church of Alton.
