Kenzie was born on November 13, 2002 to Kevin and Beth (Addario) Waldrip. She is survived by her parents, her big sister Morgan, her maternal grandparents Anthony and Christine Addario whom she called Grammy and Papa, and several loved and cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and her chosen and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Eleanor (Barbetta) Waldrip and Robert Waldrin.
Family and friends were extremely important to Kenzie. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved. MacKenzie especially loved spending time with her big sissy Morgan, her Auntie Lynne, Auntie Charl, Auntie Michelle, her sweet cousin Justin whom she absolutely adored beyond words, and her best friends, sisters and partners in crime Cassidy and Kaelin, with whom she shared so many laughs and smiles and adventures. She loved collecting sea glass at Salem Willows with her Grammy.
MacKenzie graduated from Kingswood Regional High School in 2021. She was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program at NHTI in Concord, NH. Kenzie really loved children and working her lab hours for school at a daycare center in Portsmouth brought her much joy.
She really loved spending time with her dog, Maisie, taking her for hikes in the woods and to Hampton Beach to watch the sunsets. Kenzie loved nature and she still believed in the magic and wonder of faeries and she delighted in creating faerie gardens. She loved anything and everything Harry Potter and Harry Potter movie marathons with her mom and family were a frequent event in her home. Kenzie loved clothes (a lot!) and she especially loved going thrift shopping and hunting for "treasures." She enjoyed fashion and putting together fun, stylish and creative outfits with all her finds. Sunset Park Campground in East Hampstead, NH was very dear to MacKenzie's heart. She loved her camp family very much and she loved catching fireflies and cooking S'mores at the campfire for everyone. She was the S'more cooking Queen. One of her favorite drinks (besides Red Bull and Boba Tea) was a Green Alien Rush, with shimmer, from Aroma Joe's. She introduced her mom to that drink and together, they made several runs there. Kenzie would giggle and they'd say "pinkys up" while they drank them.
MacKenzie was an exceptionally beautiful and kind soul, both inside and out and she really made an impact and touched the lives of so many. She was so loved. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Kenzie was widely known for her incredible, amazing smile and her wonderful giggle. She truly lit up a room.
Kenzie was a young woman with passion and a deep sense of empathy. She was also subject to depression, which she struggled with for many years. Depression and mental illnesses aren't always obvious to see or recognize in others. And behind that radiant and beautiful smile was a real struggle and deep pain. MacKenzie was battling silent demons that we could not see nor understand.
Our hearts are beyond broken for our loss. A void has been left behind that will not be filled. MacKenzie, it was such a privilege to have you in our lives. We will always love you, we will always talk about you and we will never forget. You are so missed and so loved. May you find your peace in the arms of God and may we all remember to be compassionate and kind to one another, for MacKenzie.
