Mabel Rose (Leighton) Stanley, age 85, a longtime resident of Farmington, died March 3, 2018 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Born June 27, 1932 in Middleton, NH, a daughter of William T. and Leona M. (Grace) Leighton, she resided in Farmington, NH since 1949 and wintered at South Daytona, Florida.
In earlier years she was a shoeworker and also worked as a waitress in the local area. Mabel retired as Manager for Ferns Energy in Farmington.
Widow of the late Donald E. (Red) Stanley, survived by son Martin and his wife Heidi Stanley, a granddaughter Candace Stanley, 3 great grandchildren, her brother Rodney W. Leighton of Alton, several nieces, nephews and her companion Lawrence. Predeceased by her sisters Beulah M. Smith and Maureen R. Hunter.
Calling hours are Monday, March 12, 2018 from 5-7 pm with a service at 7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
