Loretta Ann Gorton, age 72, of Spring Street in Farmington, died peacefully at home on December 20, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 27, 1944 in Stoneham, Massachusetts, the daughter of Carroll C. Hagar and Stella R. (Pageau) Hagar Kerr, she resided in Farmington, New Hampshire all her life, a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1962.
A loving homemaker and mother, Loretta lovingly had childcare in her home for many years.
Loretta enjoyed going to camp in West Milan, she also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survived by her husband of 54 years: Charles P. Gorton, their son Michael C. Gorton and companion Elnor, 2 daughters: Elizabeth A. (Beth) Beaulieu, Christine E. and husband Richard (Rick) Hickman, 5 grandchildren: Derek, Mike, Zach, Britini and Dylan, 2 great grandchildren: Gavin and Brooklyn, also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her 2 brothers: Alan "Mouse" Hagar and David Alan Hagar, her parents and stepfather Joseph Kerr.
The family extends a special thank you to Cornerstone VNA/Hospice and The Seacoast Cancer Center for their care during her fight with cancer.
As per her wishes, there are no services planned. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home.
