Lois C. Di Prizio 95 of Rochester/Farmington passed away March 19 ^th 2022 at Watson Fields with her husband Prisco Di Prizio of 75 years by her side.

Lois was the daughter of Ralph and Ethel (Hayes) Canney.

She was born July 2 ^nd 1926 at home on the family poultry farm; the Hensnest, located on the Meaderboro Road in Farmington, NH. She went to the local one room schoolhouse. Lois played the saxophone in the Spaulding High School band and orchestra. After graduating from Spaulding, she attended Simmons College.

Lois and Prisco married in 1946. They lived on the Meaderboro Road and operated the family farm until moving into Farmington in 1960.

Lois was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed crafting tailored clothing for her daughters and knitting alpine ski sweaters. The sweaters are heirloomed family treasures.

Along with her husband Prisco they took many road trips and traveled to different countries. They always enjoyed entertaining at their home and their summer residence on Ossipee Lake. Lois enjoyed cooking and delighting her guests with homemade desserts. Both treasured family time including their grandchildren's activities, trying to attend as many sports games and birthday parties as possible.

She was President of the Farmington's Women's Club, President of the PTA, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and was responsible for coordinating the Farmington Bicentennial Parade. She was always volunteering for school and church activities.

Her greatest joy was when she was surrounded with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Prisco Di Prizio, her daughters, Ethel Davenport and husband Don of Lee, NH, Lois Collins and partner Walter Marchisio of Milton, NH and Priscilla Ogata and husband Garri of Ronanoke, VA. Five Grandchildren: Christine, James, Theresa, Jacinthe, and Joshua, and eight great grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her siblings Priscilla Dutile, Carolyn Collins and Carroll Canney, also many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Dr. Philip Canney, Ralph Canney Jr. and LT Col. Paul Canney.

Her family is grateful for the care she received while at Watson fields.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 2pm-4pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street Farmington, NH 03835. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, 2pm, at First Congregational Church, 400 Main Street Farmington, NH 03835, with Rev. John Scruton officiating. Masks are required to attend both services. Interment will be held later in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
