Lloyd S. Almond, age 98, of Farmington, NH, passed away at his home on February 27, 2026.
He was born in Rochester, NH on September 28, 1927, the son of William Almond and Beatrice (Wormhood) Almond.
Lloyd was a Spaulding High School graduate. He was a state champion in archery, competing for five decades.
A proud U.S. Army Veteran, he was the owner and operator of Lloyd Body Work. He would always point out the cars he had worked on.
Lloyd was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Paula A. Almond; two sisters-in-law, Dory Almond and Norma Herries; nephews: John D. Almond, James MacDonald, and Robert “Bob” Horne and his wife Connie; niece: Debbie Moening and her husband David; great-nephews: Mark Horne, Jonathan Horne, and Joshua Horne; along with many other great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind very good friends Bruce and Claudette Vachon, and Gilles and Cynthia Pelletier.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers William Almond and John Almond; his sister Bernice Horne; and his brother-in-law Robert Horne.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2026, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Interment will take place on Tuesday June 2, 2026 at New Cold Spring Cemetery in Rochester, NH.
