Leston E. Gray, age 90, a longtime resident of Farmington, died September 10, 2015 at Genesis Wolfeboro Bay Center.
Born December 20, 1924 in Farmington, son of Everett and Sadie (Duest) Gray, he resided there for most of his life, moving to Laurel Terrace on McKinley Street in Rochester in 2003.
Retired from Thompson Center Arms, he also had previously been self employed with working on roads for the State of New Hampshire, a former shoe factory worker and worked for the Town of Farmington Water Department for 10 years.
Les was a Volunteer Fireman with the Farmington Fire Department for 50 years.
He loved hunting, fishing and summertime up in Pittsburgh, NH.
Widower of the late Norma A. (Young) Gray, who died in 2011, he is survived by their daughter: Jean and husband Michael LaBrecque of New Durham, 3 grandchildren: Christina Laudenbach Beaulier, Rebecca Gray and Steven Laudenbach and 9 great grandchildren,a niece: Patricia Tarr. Predeceased by his son Leston E. "Beaver" Gray, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with Pastor Ed Cilley, officiating. A calling hour is prior to the service from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Farmington Fire Department, Main Street, Farmington, NH 03835.
