Lester C. Glidden, age 92, of Charles Street in Farmington, died November 26, 2016, of respiratory failure, at Hyder House in Dover.
Born April 3, 1924 and raised in Alton, a son of Charles and Lillian (Harriman) Glidden, he resided in Farmington for most of his life.
Lester was a member of the First Congregational Church of Farmington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loving his family.
Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 66 years: Gloria, in 2011, a brother Wesley, a sister Elsie and a daughter Susan.
Survived by 4 children: Phyllis Laconis of Rochester Hills, Michigan; Diann and husband Joe Pitre of Farmington; June Glidden of Farmington; Chuck and wife Paula Glidden of Milton Mills, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:30am at First Congregational Church, 400 Main Street in Farmington with Rev. Kent Schneider, Interim Minister, officiating. A calling hour is prior to the service from 10-11:30am at church. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Hyder House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home.
