Leonard M. Hanley, 83, of Alton, died June 27, 2011 at Wolfeboro Bay Healthcare.
Born March 23, 1928 in Waltham, Mass., the son of Joseph R. and Josephine Gertrude (Doyle) Hanley, Leonard was a World War II Veteran, having served with the United States Navy.
Prior to retirement, he was a Realtor with Lake and Stream Realty.
He is survived by his wife Alice E. (Foley) Hanley and their two children: John William Hanley and Elizabeth June Russell, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, a brother, Joseph R. Hanley, Jr. and a sister, Shirley Sullivan, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers: Paul, William and John Hanley.
A private service for family members will be held at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, Alton, NH, followed by interment with military honors at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory online to: donate@autismspeaks.org
