Leona G. Martineau, 90, formerly of Maple Street in Farmington, died December 18, 2010 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover.
Born May 1, 1920 in Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Elzear and Elizabeth (Guyer) Pageau, being one of their 12 children. She resided in Farmington since 1935, having come from Littleton, NH.
A homemaker, Leona was a communicant at St. Peter?s Church and a member of their Ladies Guild.
Widow of the late B. Valmore Martineau, who died in 1980, she is survived by 2 sons: Donald Martineau and Kenneth Martineau, both of Farmington, 2 grandsons: Darren Martineau and Daniel Martineau and 3 great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Daniel and Katie Martineau. 2 sisters: Stella Kerr of Rochester and Theresa Frood of North Carolina, also many Nieces and Nephews.
She was prececeased by her siblings: Henry Pageau, Anna Drapeau, Gordon Pageau, Albina Yates, Everett Pageau, Laura Robinson and Eva Bergeron, Roland Pageau and Raymond Pageau.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:30 am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with Fr. Daniel Sinibaldi, pastor of St. Peter?s Church, officiating. A calling hour is prior to the service from 10-11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington. A reception will be held after the burial at the Farmington Country Club. In Lieu of Flowers please send donations to the Alzheimers Foundation in her memory.
