Leon Ernest Lombard, Sr., 98, of Arlington, MA and Live Oak, FL, passed away peacefully with his son by his side on April 23, 2024. He was a World War II Veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Navy for many years.  Leon was born on July 20, 1925 to the late Ernest and Ermina Lombard. He is survived by his son, Leon "Buck", Jr. and his wife, Nadine, of Arlington, MA; his granddaughters and their spouses (Leah and Robert Sylvester of Merrimack, NH, Tara and Jacob Lamont of Arlington, MA, and Elena and Thomas Hogan of Bridgewater, MA); nine cherished great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Johnson, of Pompano Beach, FL; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Johnson) Lombard; his daughter, Cheryl Lombard; and his siblings (Virginia MacFarlane, Robert Lombard, and Ruth Sample).
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, at 1:00 PM in the Tabernacle at Alton Bay Christian Conference Center in Alton Bay, NH.
