Lawrence C. Cameron, 80, formerly of White Birch Road in Wakefield, died December 27, 2010 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover.
Born April 11, 1930 in W. Lebanon , Maine, the son of Lawrence E. and Ada (Kelley) Cameron, he resided in Wakefield, NH for the past twenty years, having previously resided in Middleton, NH for over thirty years.
He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Lawrence was self employed for many years as a truck driver, driving tractor trailers, he was a woodsman and also ran his own junkyard. He had also worked for the Walter Cheney Co. of Newmarket.
He enjoyed stamp collecting, gardening, woodworking and woodcraft of whirly gigs, bird houses and weathervanes.
Widower of the late Kathryne B. (Richard) Cameron, who died in 2008, he is survived by 1 son: Alan B. Cameron of Liberty, SC, 4 daughters: Debra L. Smith of Wakefield, Donna J. Pelton of Rochester, Justine E. Ellis of Barrington, Brenda L. Franklin of Middleton, 11 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, a brother Robert Cameron of Farmington, an aunt Eugenia Ham of NC, also several Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Edward Cameron and a granddaughter Sarah McKenney.
There are no calling hours, family and friends are welcome to a Memorial Service on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with Rev. Wayne Nelson, officiating. Urn interment will be in the spring at Old Riverside Cemetery in Alton.
