Obituary

Keith was born on July 23, 1968 to George H. Rines and Priscilla M. (Cotton) Rines in Concord NH.  He grew up in Barnstead, NH and after school he worked as a cable lineman, most recently for T&T Line Construction, who grew to be more family than employer.

Keith was about as unique an individual as you could hope to meet.  He could tell a joke like nobody's business; often off-color, but always hysterical.  He was one of the best cooks you'd ever meet; his specialties being anything you could grill (including lasagna, stuffed peppers, cake - you name it, he could cook it on the grill), smoked Mac and Cheese, beef jerky, and who could forget his smoked cheese!  He loved cooking with cast iron which gave him one of his nicknames… Cast Iron Keith.  Food and music were his love languages and he was never as proud as when someone complimented his attempts at either.

Keith was always a close friend to Mother Nature, seeing so many things other people may pass by everyday without notice; the way frost lays on the fields or a small frog on an old log along a forest path and he shared all his knowledge with everyone he knew.

In his younger years, he could be found taking things apart only to see if he could put them back together again.  His sisters rarely had a working bike because Keith would either crash them or scavenge parts off them for his own bike.

Keith was very creative and loved photography, wood working, and music.  He had an ear that could pick up tunes and could often be found playing one of his many guitars around a campfire or on the Perkins' porch.  His trips to the forests around him often rewarded him with burls which he would bring home and turn into beautiful wooden bowls.  When Keith got sick, he bought himself a drone and spent many hours filming the nature around him and sharing it with the ones he loved.

From a young age he loved animals, any animal.  His mum often had to chase out all the little critters Keith would find and bring home to make a pet of.  And in his adult life, he often had the coolest pets.  Once, a rooster named Fred, and more recently a possum named Miss Kay.  She accompanied him on his travels for work and could often be found around his neck or hanging out in his truck.

Like his dad before him, Keith loved Westerns.  And he lived his life with many of the values he saw in those films; honor, friendship, loyalty, service to his fellow travelers, and just doing the right thing.  He was a friend to anyone he knew and unforgettable to those who met him.

Keith was predeceased by his father, George H Rines, and his mother, Priscilla (Cotton) Rines.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Fisher from Ohio, step mother, Carolyn Rines from North Carolina, sisters Nadine Coots, from Martha's Vineyard, MA, and Kelley Rines and her husband Roger Brown from Tabor City, NC, step sister Lisa Caldwell from Barnstead, NH, and step brother Kevin Caldwell from West Palm, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews, and so many loving friends who became like family through the years... Keith's girlfriend Monica Perkins, her parents Paul and Ellen Perkins (his 3rd mum) with whom he resided for many years, Lauren and Chris Woolsey and their children Vanessa (big V) and Liam, Steven (Shoestring) Perkins, and more best friends than anyone should be allowed to have.

We will never know another like you… fly high, KOB, fly high!
