ALTON — Julian Sawyer "Duke" passed away after a long life on June 13, 2010, at his home in Alton, N.H. He was 91 years old. He was a veteran and gifted photographer.

He is survived by his daughters, Carol and her husband, Ted Geraghty of Plymouth, N.H., Joan and her husband, Paul Cunningham of Ohio and Shirley Hess of Ohio; also 10 grandchildren, as well as many great and great-great-grandchildren. He had many good friends and neighbors.

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Sawyer and their son, Robert Sawyer.

A service will be held on Thursday, June 17, at 10 a.m. at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School St., Alton, with Fr. Robert F. Cole, officiating. Interment will follow at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton.
