It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julia (Julie) Ellen Waterman of Alton, NH on January 20,2025 at the age of 70, after a long battle with cancer. Julia was born on August 14,1954 in Fall River, MA to Dana and Rose Hastie and resided in Alton for 40+ years.

Julia aka Jewels was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family and friends. She was a homemaker, mother, and widower to predeceased Rodney Waterman. She was one of 7 children Dana Hastie of California, Lisa Birkett of Swansea, MA, Douglas Hastie (predeceased), Robin Hastie of Fall River, MA, Charles Hastie of Swansea, MA, and Mark Hastie of NH. Along with many nieces and nephews.

She worked at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH for many years and made many friends while there. She loved Antiques, weekend drives, yard sales, and gardening. She is survived by her loving children David Bertoncini and wife Kate of Deerfield, NH, Kate Dore and husband Nick Bickford of Rochester, NH, and Jacob Dore of Nashua, NH. Grandchildren Dakota and Aden Bickford and Lucas and Ellis Bertoncini.

Julia's departure leaves an unfillable void in her family's lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.

Services will be held Sunday January 26, 2025 at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street in Alton, from 1-3pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 72 in Alton from 3-5pm. She will be surely missed. Thank you to all who have supported from past to present.
