Joseph Zawadil, age 85, of Lower Cross Road in Lebanon, Maine, died April 21, 2017 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH.
Born April 25, 1931 in Bedford, Ohio, son of Thomas and Anna Janosko, he resided in Lebanon, Maine since 1961.
A Veteran of the United States Navy, he served during the Korean War.
Joseph was retired from General Electric in Somersworth.
He loved hunting and fishing.
Survived by his wife of 53 years: Mary L. (Goodwin) Zawadil, their daughter Kim M. and husband Edwin Scott, granddaughter Kayla Shafer, a sister Anne and husband Joseph Fifolt, 2 nephews: Michael Fifolt and Gary Fifolt, also his mother in law Irene Leighton, several brother in law's and sister in law's and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11am at Nute Ridge Bible Chapel, 99 Nute's Road, Milton, NH with Pastor Bob Walsh, pastor, officiating. A calling hour is prior to the service from 10-11 at the Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon, Maine. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Nute Ridge Bible Chapel. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home, Farmington, NH.
