Joseph Raymond Arnone

December 1, 1940 - October 14, 2022

Joseph "Joe" Raymond Arnone passed away Friday, October 14th at home in Myrtle Beach, SC. with his beloved wife Cecille "Ceily" Arnone by his side.

Joe was born of proud Sicilian descent, in Boston, MA on December 1st, 1940 to father Paul Arnone Sr. and mother Catherine (Deering) Arnone. He was the 3rd of 8 siblings, sister Agnes Arnone and brothers Paul, Vincent, Harry, Robert, Peter and John Arnone.

Joe grew up in the Boston suburbs, graduating from Malden High School in 1958. He enlisted in the Air Force in July of the same year. After his service Joe settled down to start his family. He supported his family doing what he loved, drywall and construction for 40+ years, proudly mentoring many along the way.

Joe lived in Malden until he and Ceily retired to their happy place on Belleau Lake in East Wakefield, NH. With their 2 labs, Sebastian and Maggie, becoming active members of their community. After 20+ years of enjoying lake life and many cold winters, they moved to warmer shores and were welcomed into another wonderful community in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He was an avid and passionate hunter, an all-around outdoorsman and a proud member of the NRA. He loved to read, play cards (solitaire on his computer), watching sports (Go Boston!), but most of all he loved his family and friends.

Joe was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and Papa. He leaves behind the love of his life his wife Ceily, daughters Sandra Longfellow (Sandy), Catherine Arnone (Cat) and Michelle Smith (Shelly) and her husband Ken Smith. Proudest Papa to his grandchildren April Woodbury and her husband Jesse Eliuk, Ryan Arnone, Ashton Smith and Devlin Smith and great grandchildren Giovanni Eliuk and Sydney Eliuk.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 6, 2023, 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville (Wakefield), NH, with Fr. Patrick Gilbert officiating.
