John Devin Xavier Sutton, age 60, of Tappan Street in Farmington, died peacefully June 23, 2016 at Hyder Hospice in Dover.
Born August 28, 1955 in Teaneck, New Jersey, a son of Maurice A. Sutton, Jr. and Elizabeth (Yanda) Sutton. John was raised in Marshfield, Massachusetts and Freehold New Jersey where he graduated from Freehold High school. While in Marshfield he lived across from a great marsh where endless days were spent running, swimming and wilding
John Returned to Massachusetts after high school to work in a computer manufacturing facility for Honeywell. John lived in Newburyport MA for many years where he was well like and always had a welcoming smile. John had and enormous capacity for compassion for his fellow man. He loved people and loved to talk to strangers to hear their story. One of his sister in laws always said "he had to have a large body to houses a heart so full of love". John drove a tow truck in Boston for a period of time which he enjoyed immensely. He enjoyed helping people that were stuck in one form or the other. He later moved to Newmarket NH and then to Farmington NH. John loved to walk to town, have a cup of coffee and talk all the people he met. He prayed for the people of his small town and for his family daily.
John left an indelible imprint on Farmington and the people of his church where he found great comfort and solace. He knew he was going home when he passed and he was at peace
John was proceeded by His Father Maurice A Sutton Jr, his Mother Elizabeth ( Yanda) Sutton, and his sister Joanne Gaston. John is by survived by two sisters: Maura Sutton of Weymouth MA and Colleen Buczynski of Landing , NJ, four brothers: Maurice Sutton III of Salem NH, Paul Sutton most recently San Paulo Brazil , Mark Sutton of Inverness CA and Matthew Sutton of Portland OR and also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday evening from 5-7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11am at Grace Community Church, 57 Wakefield Street, Rochester, NH with Pastor Glen Boardman, officiating. Interment will be at 2pm at Strafford Center Cemetery in Strafford, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: National Kidney Foundation.
