John C. Pratt, Jr., age 59, of Milton, died unexpectedly, at home on August 29, 2015.
Born May 16, 1956 in Rochester, the son of John C. Pratt, Sr. and Martha (Bailey) Pratt, he was raised in Union, resided in Rochester from 1979-2006, where he and his wife raised their family and resided in Milton the past nine years.
John was a hard working, successful, local, blue collar businessman, self employed as John C. Pratt Company, acoustical ceiling contractor.
A member of the Union Congregational Church, the Rochester Elks and President of the Rochester Professional Park Condo Association, he was also a very proud Los Angeles Dodgers fan.
A sincere and giving man, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
John loved working in his yard with the lawn and flowers. He especially loved the lake and his boat.
Survived by "the love of his life" his wife Paula Ann (Menegoni) Pratt, their 3 children: Deidra and husband David Howard, Becky Pratt and Johnny Pratt, grandson: Matthew Howard, his mother: Martha (Bailey) Pratt, 4 siblings: David and wife Sandy Pratt, Barbara and husband Barry Griffith, LuAnn and husband Barry Rollins Jean Lynch, also many cousins, nieces, nephews. Predeceased by his father and a brother in law: Dennis Lynch. He will be missed by his beloved kitties.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11am at Union Congregational Church on Main Street in Union, NH with Rev. David Maleham, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Milton Mills Cemetery.
