John Edward McPhee, Jr., age 78, of Barnstead, NH, died June 18, 2024 at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH, after a period of failing health.

Born on July 26, 1945 in Everett, MA, the son of John Edward McPhee, Sr. & Loretta (Oliver) McPhee, he resided in Barnstead, NH for almost thirty years.

John was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Prior to retirement, he was employed with Boilermakers Local 29.

John enjoyed his life, having fun, laughing and "being loud".  He loved boating and enjoyed golfing.

Survived by his wife of 30 years Susan L. (Parrish) McPhee, his 2 children: Suzanne Randall and John McPhee, both of Florida, 2 stepdaughters: Kristina & husband Donald Pelletier of Barrington, Traci & husband James Duhamel of E. Bridgewater, MA, 7 grandchildren, 2 sisters: Elaine Earl and Loretta Denault, also several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his stepdaughter Karine Marchand and 2 sisters: Kathy McPhee & Anne McPhee.

A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Lung Association.
