IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John "Jack"
Dunbar
August 7, 1949 – January 28, 2021
Brookfield, NH
On Thursday, January 28, John "Jack" Dunbar, loving husband of Patricia (Brown) Dunbar, passed away at the age of 71 at his home in Brookfield, New Hampshire with his wife by his side. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, and his brother David of Waltham, Massachusetts, and Lee of Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews.
His romance with his wife began 63 years ago in the third grade at Riverdale School in Dedham, Massachusetts. As a result, his sisters-in-law, Diane, Kathy, Debbie and Judi all had a special big brother.
Jack was employed by PepsiCo for 31 years, working his way up from night loader to merchandise manager for the Northeast.
Jack was proud of his Scottish ancestry, having served on the Board of Directors for the Scottish Games in New Hampshire for many years. He was also proud to have served in the U.S. Navy for six years.
His greatest joy came from giving to others whether it was just to give advice and support, or lending a hand when needed. In his retirement years he enjoyed making jewelry and sharing it with everyone around him.
He spent many years riding his motorcycle with his wife and friends, riding through the mountains or by the ocean.
He was an active member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Wakefield, NH and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
