John Edward Blomstedt, age 73, of Old Stage Road in Sanbornville, died November 26, 2016 at the Rochester Manor.
Born June 23, 1943 in Providence, Rhode Island, a son of Ralph and Helen (Nelson) Blomstedt, he resided in Rhode Island for most of his life and resided in Sanbornville, NH since 2003.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
John was retired, a civilian employee of the United States Navy, an Electrical Engineer, who inspected nuclear submarines.
He was President of the Belleau Lake Dam Association. He loved golfing and traveling with his wife Valerie, exploring many different areas. His hobby was model trains. John was great with children, "they loved him".
Survived by his wife Valerie Lynne (Rudolph) Blomstedt, his 3 children: Karl Blomstedt, Kristin Rausch and Karen Blomstedt, 3 grandchildren: Cora, Caitlyn and Aubrey, his brother Richard Blomstedt, a nephew Andy Blomstedt, also several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, NH, family and friends are welcome. Urn interment will follow at Lovell Lake Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Lakes Region Humane Society in Ossipee, NH.
