Jennette Rose Brown, age 76, former longtime resident of Farmington, died January 7, 2012 at Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport, MA.
Born March 2, 1935 in Columbia, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of Glenville and Elizabeth (Lesperance) Washburn.
Jennette had worked as a shoe stitcher in Farmington. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she enjoyed Bingo, gardening, camping, long walks and rides, going down memory lane and spending time with her grandchildren.
Widow of the late Walter W. Brown, "Brownie" who died in 1998, she is survived by their 5 children: Paul A. Brown, Michael W. and wife Erin Brown, Mark W. and wife Eileen Brown, Donnalee A. Maracle and Debera J. and husband Dick Stanley, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, a sister Mary E. Chapple, 2 brothers: Victor A. Washburn and Glenville Washburn, also several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Newburyport Elks #909, Special Athletes Program, Low Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
