Jean M. Knisley Labrie, age 90, of Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, died quietly at home, November 30, 2018.

Born March 19, 1928 in Calais, Maine, the daughter of Kenneth and Hazel (Buckmaster) Sprague, her family resided in in Lowell, Massachusetts for years, moving to Sanbornville, NH in the late 1960's.

She attended Mt. Auburn Nursing School.

A Registered Nurse in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, she had worked at Lowell General Hospital, Carroll County Nursing Home, Huggins Hospital and Manchester VNA.  Also, she had worked at the Indian Reservation Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.

Jean was recipient of a Presidential Citation: Second Lieutenant Reserve (Nurse) U.S.A.F., recipient of a Certificate of Appreciation: Women's Antioxidant Cardiovascular (WACS) study from Boston, and recipient of a President's Volunteer  Service Award by former President George Bush.

She served with CASA, a Court Appointed Special Advocate in New Hampshire.

Widow of the late Conrad Labrie and Raymond O. Knisley, she is survived by her son Reuben Knisley of Sanbornville, NH and her daughter Mary Moore of Florida, grandchildren: Margaret Moore, Joshua Moore, Reuben and wife Peggy Knisley, Laurie Knisley, also Jason, 4 great grandchildren: twins Kayla and Kaylee, Brendan and William. Predeceased by 2 brothers: Arthur Sprague and Kenneth Sprague, Jr.

Her family would like to thank the Town of Wakefield Safety Services, especially the Ambulance Crew for their care.  Also a thank you to TDBank associates in Farmington. "Please respect Reuben's privacy while he is mourning."

There are no services planned, urn interment will be in the spring at Lovell Lake Cemetery in Sanbornville.  Cremation care by Peaslee Funeral Home.
