RAYMOND – James Andrew Tilley, 78, of Long Hill Road, died suddenly on Sunday, December 2, 2012.
Born Sept. 28, 1934, in Mt. Airy, NC., he was a son of Hugh and Ollie (Shaw) Tilley. He had resided in Raymond for 49 years, having previously resided in Groveland Mass. After serving in the Air Force, Jim worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA at the Boston Center located in Nashua NH. After retiring from the FAA more than 18 years ago, he and his wife Marilyn spent many happy years together exploring the New England countryside, participating in Church activities and playing with their grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Marilyn C. Tilley; son, James A. "Jay" and wife, Christine Tilley of Windham; son, Christopher D. and wife Cathy Tilley of Hudson, grandchildren James, Kristen and Victoria.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec 6, at 2 p.m. at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central St. in Farmington. Pastor Bruce Brown of The Bible Speaks in South Berwick, Maine, officiating.
