James A. Reed, age 84, died peacefully, August 28, 2022, at home, after a period of declining health.

He was the son of the late James A. Reed and Evadell (Ducey) Reed.

Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, his family then moved to Union, NH in 1946 and returned to Lynn in 1951.  Jim graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1955.  He graduated from the General Electric Apprentice Course and started his career with General Electric in the Drafting Department, for 35 years.  He finished his career as a Manufacturing Manager at Raytheon in Andover, MA, earning a BS-BA from Hawthorne College, after taking night classes.

Jim enjoyed his leisure time during retirement and was most proud of completing his lifelong hobby of building an N-Gage Model Railroad Display.

Survived by his loving wife Paula (MacDonald) Reed of Goffstown, his two sons: James & wife Debbie Reed of Pelham, NH and Jeffrey & wife Nancie Reed of Cumming, Georgia, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and in law's.

Predeceased by his son Ronald Reed and his brother Robert Reed.

His family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to the Hospice Staff of VNA of Manchester & Southern NH, who gave him excellent care.
