James V. Keery, OFS

James V. Keery, 88, went home to the Lord on August 15, 2016. James was born in New Rochelle, New York on Sept. 29, 1927. His parents were James V. and Mary (Honan) Keery. He proudly served as a United States Marine. He had a career in the U.S. Post Office serving Mamaroneck, New York and Durham, New Hampshire. After retirement, James turned his attention to the service in the Church. He played the organ at two Churches, as well as several nursing homes. He was a Professed Secular Franciscan, member of the Knights of Columbus and a staunch defender of the Pro Life Movement. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Cheryl (Boyko), sons Timothy, wife Denise and son John Joseph of Tolleson, AZ, Terrence, wife Lu Ann, son Terrence, and daughter, Mae Ann of Port Chester, N. Y. Step daughter, Lori Logan, husband Jeff and son Zack of Milton, VT. His sister, Mary Rozmus of Altamonte, FL. Sister in law, Jackie Emerson of Somersworth, NH. Sister in law Margaret Keery of White Plains, NY. Brother in law Joseph Dell, wife Betty of Greenwich, CT. and several nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Nancy) Dell, his son, James, brother William, sister, Alice DeForest, and brother Thomas.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday August 19, 2016 at 11AM, at St. Mary Church on Lowell Street in Rochester, NH with Rev. Edward J. Kelley, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
