James W. Hill, Sr., age 79, of Elm Street in Effingham, passed away September 18, 2019, at home, with his loving family by his side.

Born January 27, 1940 in Abington, Massachusetts, son of Albion M. and Helen E. (Waters) Hill, he resided in Marshfield, MA for many years and moved north to Effingham, NH, over thirty years ago.

Retired, he was a licensed plumber, having worked with TNT Plumbing and Heating.

An avid hunter, he also enjoyed ocean fishing with his brother.

He loved the Lord and was an active member of his church.

Most important in his life, his family, he is survived by his wife of 56 years: Eileen A. (Moors) Hill and their 4 children: James W. Hill, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Brian J. Hill and wife Kelly, Laurie M. Champy and husband David, Christine A. Hill and 14 grandchildren, his brother John E. Hill, Sr., also many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by 4 siblings: Betty, Shirley, Mary and Fred.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:30pm at Crosspoint Church at the Rochester Community Center, 150 Wakefield Street, Rochester, NH on the second floor.  Cremation care by Peaslee Funeral Home.
