Obituary

Jacqueline Musto, 95, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 4, 2024. Born to Leslie W. Babbin and Pearl (Lynch) Babbin in Lynn, MA on May 4, 1928, she was the third of five children. She was predeceased by her sisters Leslie and Elaine and her brothers Donald and Robert. Beloved wife of the late John Musto and loving mother of Edward Musto and Leslie Musto Jalbert, she was devoted to her family.

A loving and compassionate woman, she found her calling in taking care of others. She became a Registered Nurse after having graduated from Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in 1951.   For many years she was the charge nurse at the Louise Caroline Nursing Home in Saugus, MA. After leaving hospital nursing, she worked for the American Red Cross for the remainder of her nursing career.

A voracious reader, she made good use of the Haverhill Public Library where she volunteered many years in running the Gift Shop. She loved getting together with family and friends, playing cards and reading.

Jacqueline is survived by her son Edward Musto of Haverhill, MA and her daughter, Leslie Jalbert and her husband Paul Jalbert of Alton, NH, grandsons Jared Atwater, his wife Nancy Atwater and their son, Gabriel Peter Atwater of Plaistow, NH, and Stanford Atwater and his son, Tyrelle Atwater Pike of Rochester, NH.
