Irene Elizabeth Swett, age 93, lifelong resident of Alton, NH, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

She is the daughter of Frank and Marguerite (Ware) Simonds, and stepmom Eleanor Babb.

Survived by her daughter Sharon Rouleau of Alton, her son Richard Swett of Rochester, brother Malcolm Simonds & wife Freida of Alton, grandsons: Michael Tilton, Robert Swett & wife Kylie, great grandchildren: Brittney, Gus, Cassie, Jayden, Dustin, Chase & Nickie, and great-great grandchildren Jace & Camden, also many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Herbert F. Swett, whom she was married to for 40 years, 2 sisters: Iris Berry & Sadie, brother Richard Simonds, daughter in law Carol Swett, son in law Michael Rouleau and grandson Mark Swett.

Irene loved camping, all her past pets, and family members and friends very much.  She knit family members beautiful sweaters, and always had a project to work on.  Her companion cat "Kloe" was her best friend.

She was a kind, generous person, who "we will all miss very much".

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 12Noon at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH, family and friends are welcome, followed by a reception at 1pm at the American Legion in Alton, NH.  To express condolences, please visit: www.peasleefuneralhome.com
