Henry Joseph Valliere, Jr. (Hank), age 81, of Sherwood Glen in Somersworth, died July 22, 2017 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover.
Born March 8, 1936 and raised in Laconia, son of Henry J. Valliere, Sr. and Germaine (Lambert) Valliere, he most recently resided in Somersworth for over 20 years and Rochester, having traveled all over the country and world wide.
A retired United States Air Force Veteran for 20 years, he served during the Korean War and Vietnam War.
A member of the American Legion Post #7 of Rochester and member of the D.A.V.
He had worked at the former Cabletron, as a computer technician in quality control and as a a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service, in Dover.
Survived by his wife Joanne Valliere and 4 sons: Henry J. Valliere, III, Robert B. and wife Penny Valliere, Jon A. and wife Katherine Valliere, James E. and wife Ikuko Valliere, 1 daughter: Lynn M. and husband Ross Davis, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter Jeanette Valliere.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 12 Noon at NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans. Cremation care by Peaslee Funeral Home of Farmington.
