Heidi Jo Friedman, age 33, died April 12, 2014, in a tragic car accident, while on active duty with the United States Navy.
Born June 28, 1981 in Portsmouth, NH, the daughter of Robert B. Friedman and Shari Murray, she was a graduate of Ledyard High School, Class of 1999 in Ledyard, CT.
Her greatest joy was serving our country in the United States Navy.
Heidi Jo loved spending time with her family, she also loved volunteering at any local school, working with children, tutoring, after school activities, etc. and volunteering with Toys for Tots. She would light up the room and do anything for anyone, a very loving and giving person.
A former cheerleader, she was a lifetime Girl Scout, she loved playing Rugby and loved traveling.
Survived by her mother Shari L. Murray, her father and stepmother: Robert B. and Laurie E. Friedman, her grandmother Arlene Canin, her brother Michael L. and wife Erin Friedman, 3 stepsisters: Jaime and wife Rochelle, Kara and Maria and fiancée Chris, 3 stepbrothers: Cito and fiancée Lyne, Quique and wife Amanda and Nolan, 2 nephews: Alexander and Ashton, also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street in Farmington, NH with a funeral service on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm in Boscawen, NH, with full military honors by the United States Navy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, your local Humane Society or to the charity of one's choice.
